Tri Express Plumbing didn't start with a logo and a van. It started on the downtown waterfront, running pipe as a brand-new apprentice.
Our founder, Kevin Morris, began his career as a union apprentice with A.O. Reed, one of San Diego's most respected mechanical contractors. His very first job: installing plumbing in the second tower of the Manchester Grand Hyatt on the downtown waterfront. Over the next two decades he earned his way up every rung of the trade — from apprentice, to journeyman plumber, to project engineer, to project manager running multi-million-dollar commercial builds across San Diego.
Kevin founded Tri Express Plumbing in 2008, building it alongside his commercial career. After 22 years in commercial trade and managing projects at the highest level, he made the decision to bring that same craftsmanship, accountability, and project discipline directly to San Diego homeowners — full-time, under his own name.
Kevin came up through the union the hard way — apprentice to journeyman to project manager — running some of the biggest commercial builds in San Diego before turning his full focus to the families and homeowners of the county.
That commercial background is the difference.
